I will say.. I'll share some thoughts/info about this whole thing after a move is made that will maybe make this move make sense for those who are on the fence or don't want to move him at all.
Marcell Ozuna to the Pirates. $12M. Pending physical

Now, there are some caveats. MLB.tv offers a free month of ESPN Unlimited upon signup. MLB.tv subscribers can cancel the ESPN Unlimited subscription during their free trial and still retain access to MLB.tv throughout the entire season. Likewise, if you already have access to ESPN Unlimited through your cable, satellite, or virtual TV provider, there's no need to pay the extra $30 per month. Additionally, if your MLB.tv subscription is set to be auto-renewed from last season, you will not need an ESPN Unlimited subscription.

Infielder David Hamilton and left-hander Shane Drohan are the other two players going to Milwaukee along with Kyle Harrison in the Caleb Durbin deal, sources tell ESPN.

Had a busy weekend but I'm hearing the same as Chandler as far as trade talks ramping up. Frankly at this point I would be pretty surprised if Parades is an Astro at the start of spring training.

Anybody else checking out the WBC at Daikin?
I'm going to USA vs Italy
Not at Daikin, but we're going to Spring Training during Spring Break, so we decided to check out a couple WBC games in Miami. We're going to DR vs Israel and Venezuela vs Nicaragua.

If that is the case, do we need to worry about Paredes failing a physical screwing up any deal we make?

It's Abreu. When he first came up in trade talks and this board started freaking out, Marvin mentioned his proclivity for getting 1-2 runners on frequently and I then mentioned he hasn't been injured yet and I wondered if the org feels like it's only a matter of time.
2015 replied to that and said I was on to something.

I know it's less than ideal for Paredes to potentially not be in the starting lineup, but it's a nice problem to have in case Correa or Walker have to miss time especially with the former's injury history and how last year went for this team in general.
Why not wait and see if another team loses their third baseman giving us more leverage in a trade?

Ok, I was thinking you were referring to Boston's Abreu, not ours.

Yeah, whether or not it's warranted, it is something I do wonder about with him - like will this be the year his arm blows up. He may totally be fine.

I'm having a hard time understanding how they could be so stupid

- New Subscribers (2026): Must sign up for ESPN Unlimited, but can cancel during the free trial.
- Existing/Renewing Subscribers: Those on auto-renew for the 2026 season generally do not need to add the ESPN subscription.
- Alternative Access: Amazon Prime Video offers MLB.TV as a channel, which may bypass the ESPN requirement.
- Coverage: MLB.TV covers out-of-market games, while national games (like Sunday Night Baseball) and some postseason games remain exclusive to ESPN.
The other possibility is Durbin is part of a package back to us. Offensively he is a poor man's Isaac but he has a better defensive profile to be a utility player. Obviously wouldn't work straight up but him and a good pitching prospect might make sense for us to have a few $.Farmer1906 said:EastCoastAgNc said:Infielder David Hamilton and left-hander Shane Drohan are the other two players going to Milwaukee along with Kyle Harrison in the Caleb Durbin deal, sources tell ESPN.

Yup. If the Brewers are selling after the rookie season then I don't trust his future moving forward. Boston doing things very cheaply and very young.

There is nothing obvious left out there on the trade market.
