The #1 overall pick was Adrian Gonazalez who had a great career - 317 HR, .843 career OPS
The #2 overall pick was a guy named Adam Johnson, RHP, who pitched 9 career games with an ERA of 10.25. That's what Minnesota got for a $2.5 m signing bonus 25 years ago.
Out of the rest of that year's top 10, 5 guys never made the majors.
The only other good picks of the entire round were Chase Utley at #15 and Adam Wainwright at #29, who was picked by the Braves, then traded before he made the majors to the Cards for JD Drew, who then walked the next season.
