My granddaughter is ready for the season to start.

Another tough play for Jasson Dominguez in left field: pic.twitter.com/y4Z011aa9h

I don’t care about spring training statistics, but the one thing we actually can take from spring training performances thus far is that Jasson Dominguez is a horrendous defender. Maybe the worst of all-time.

The fact that he can still hit a HR tells me he hasn't yet started to approach the Abreu zone.
Bregman hit a 2-run homer on Sunday vs. the Jays. He's played 2 games and is 3-for-5 with a double, a homer and 4 RBI. SO killing it so far.txags92 said:
Anybody seen anything lately on how (and where) Bregman is fitting in with his new trash can gang? I have all this popcorn and haven't seen anything the last few days.
Good for him. I somehow think Devers is setting himself up for a lot of disappointment, but who knows. The Original Houston 1836 said:Bregman hit a 2-run homer on Sunday vs. the Jays. He's played 2 games and is 3-for-5 with a double, a homer and 4 RBI. SO killing it so far.txags92 said:

Devers continues to say 3B is his, telling MSNBC "It's something that, year after year, I've had to have this same conversation. And year after year I've been competing with that narrative of, 'Can I play third base?' Maybe this year, there's a lot more noise about it, but it's something that I'm used to. I've dealt with this my whole career."
He told Mass Live "I don't listen to what's said," Devers declared, dismissing external opinions. "I don't pay attention to what is said. I just know what I'm capable of. I'm happy being this way."
It might be much ado about nothing. The Sox official page has Bregman listed as their #1 guy at 2B on the depth chart.

Yeah, really makes me appreciate a guy like Altuve that much more. He recognizes that his skills at 2B have declined and he is willing to move wherever they ask him to try to help the ball club get better. Whereas Devers refuses to acknowledge how terrible he is fielding his position and isn't willing to change.TarponChaser said:
Sawx fans will definitely let Devers hear it when he has a couple errors and a GG third baseman is playing 2nd.

Dailywalkoff tells me 2 things
1) We've endured long stretches of some really bad players, i.e. 300+ games of Chris Johnson's -0.6 WAR.
2) Jake Marisnick must have really loved those trash cans. His OPS in 2016 was .588. In 2017 it was .815. In 2018 it was back to .674. He went from 5 home runs in 287 at-bats in 2016 to 16 home runs in 230 at-bats in 2017.
Today is one of those days where i'm pretty sure i could get all 30 teams,, might have a couple outs but i'd get thereJackal99 said:
Wall-off home run. Maybe the easiest one yet.
Luis Garcia hit 90 mph in his bullpen yesterday and is getting close to facing hitters, Joe Espada said.
