Guys who are free swingers over the course of their careers aren't just going to suddenly change in the first week of ST.

More MLB HR in 2025 Kyle Tucker or Cam Smith?
I'm telling y'all the Astros won that trade by a wide margin.Wabs said:
Me thinks we done good on the Tucker trade

I would say on a season total, Tucker. But HR/AB, I am going with Cam.tjack16 said:tylhair said:

Just send Elon a list of things you accomplished this week via email. You should be good. The Original Houston 1836 said:
I accidentally played the audio of the Cam Smith home run into a Zoom call.

I would be surprised if Cam sees time in the bigs this year. 2026 will likely be the year.
I can understand starting him in AAA, even with a hot spring, just to make sure he's fully ingrained in the Astro way and not overwhelm him. I don't know how Chicago is, but we've heard from guys coming to the Astros and through the Astros system just how much information the organization gives the players.AggiEE said:texasaggie2015 said:

If he has a hot spring, I dunno what we're supposed to be waiting on though…

Waiting to see if Chas figures it out at the plate or if Altuve figures it out in LF, allowing the possibility of moving Paredes to 2B.AggiEE said:texasaggie2015 said:

The path is there:texasaggie2015 said:
He's only played 32 total games in the minor leagues, five of which were above A-ball. He won't break camp with the big league team.
Is it possible he tears it up and gets fast tracked? Definitely. That would be awesome. But I think the most likely outcome is he gets his first taste of the big leagues in 2026.
Espada on Bennett Sousa returning to the mound today after missing all of last year:

"Throwing that inning, I was really happy and proud of him because he put in a ton of hard work this offseason and his stuff looked really good."
Espada called Forrest Whitley electric.
It was a million years ago but that drove me nuts with Hunter Pence. Cost him shot at ROY in 2007, finished third behind Braun and Tulowitzki and only played 108 games.Mr.Bond said:AggiEE said:texasaggie2015 said:

Were the Astros. We try to **** every prospect on service time....it's part of what cost us Springer
