I was listening to the sports map guys and apparently he was one of the big complainers about how espada handled things last year (got pissed about how he communicated that he was being moved down in the lineup when he was really sucking, etc). Maybe he likes Cora/AJ more and doesn't want to play for Joe.


That sounds petty

Bregman was awful for a huge part of the year
Yeah, if a guy hitting under .200 can't handle being moved down in the lineup, he is not the clubhouse/team guy Boras wants everybody to believe he is.

Bregman doing a short term deal with opt outs to bet on himself is staring at a massive that could bite his ass.

In 2 years the CBA negotiation happens. I've said it before. It could cost a season is they get to arguing. Now he's sitting without a contract. Forget not getting paid. He has no contract at all. Now he sits for a year and is caught in the new FA group plus the group who had opted out.

A 3 year with opt outs is playing Russian roulette and the gun is mostly loaded instead of mostly empty.

Fenway Park will give him a chance to put up big numbers

he has 7 career HR's and 9 career doubles there in just 80 at-bats

should not be too difficult to post an .800 OPS with the Red Sox (if he will go back to taking his walks)

how he fares in road games will be interesting to watch

The Astros have usually hit well at Fenway in the past. Bregman will not be hitting against Red Sox pitching anymore.

Mr. warning track power sees a bigger Crawford Boxes (the big monster) from the foul pole to almost center field.

He'll have twice as many doubles, a lot more singles, and his power numbers will be up dramatically.

He's a former GM for the marlins… he was there in the early 2010s

He also played on a season of survivor and was the first person voted out.
