More bull**** because it appears Bregman has neither a spine nor a brain at this point. In which case, it's probably best we move on if he doesn't like our offer. He's not getting a significantly better one in a place he wants to play for, for the same number of years.
At this point he can tell Boras to get the deal closed with the offer he currently likes. So why isn't he? Time is running out. The longer this goes on, the worse it is for Bregman.
Honestly it really doesn't bother me and I don't think there's too much drama as far the Astros are concerned.

I think he likes the national attention. He's posting on social media several time a day which I'm sure is getting way more views than normal. Once he signs somewhere, the national attention goes away.

I'm somewhat surprised, confused and disturbed by Bregman and how he has let this whole thing drag out. Always heard he was all "team", a winner and leader in the clubhouse, etc. and on top of that his teammate Altuve has been lobbying to management to sign him and Bregs so far has been reluctant to do so.

Blame his agent more than him. We have no idea what is actually happening behind the scenes… for all we know teams have reached out and it's just not been publicized

Never said his not deciding has hurt or hindered the team. Just saying if someone told me at the end of last season that Bregman would still he unsigned on 1/31/25 I'd be surprised. And especially with the team that he has played his entire career with and teammates hoping he comes back.

Yes I agree with that. During my career I moved eleven times and I had to make a lot of tough decisions to do what was best for me and my family. Only difference was I wasn't making 26-28 million a year.
Gotta weigh where he's moving the family, organization, etc. It's a lot more than money even though that's still a big part of it for sure
If Alex truly wanted to be here this would have been over a long time ago. He's chasing a bag which is his right. I personally would think a quarter of a billion dollars in career earnings would be enough money that his great great great grandkids would never have to work. But who the **** knows. He could have an eternal legacy here with his number in the rafters forever..... or he could chase another 5 to 10 million dollars.... seems miniscule in grand scheme

I think he wants to be here, but also is trying to get all the money he possibly can. This is kind of the first time he can maximize on his abilities financially since he got an early extension and he's not gonna get a massive deal after
