Unless this is the play, I don't love this move as much as others. Paredes is solid but I don't see him becoming an automatic superstar because of the Crawford Boxes. And I'm wondering what we're going to do in the outfield.

It's not a bad move, but maybe I'm just being too much of a fan regarding the Bregman of it all.

I am with you. I want more too but I think it's also the realization we have to get some talent now because if not, Tucker walks after the season and it's just another superstar that leaves Houston without us getting anything for him

Hayden has most recently been a jack of all trades in the pen. Some longer relief, some high(ish) leverage. He had a problem with HRs at one point.

For sure... I'm firmly on the Trade Tucker Train... I just hope the scenario leads to Bregman coming back. It seems like there is a path, but it's muddy. Or maybe it just gives the front office options on all fronts, which makes sense as well.

But still need to figure out the outfield. I liked when Suzuki was involved.

Am I missing something? This seems like a step down in trade value if we were trying to get Suzuki, Paredes, and Smith before

That was never real. Suzuki has a no trade clause.

Apparently the deal was decided last night. They shopped it this morning then finalized it around 11am. Per Apollo's live stream.

I'd take a middle reliever that none of us know but routinely posts a sub-3.00 ERA like the guys the A's, Tigers, and Mariners routinely trot out.

I suspect it would be as much for the cap space as a return of talent.
I love Texas Aggie sports, but I love Texas A&M more.

I like this deal, but I don't love it. It hurts too much for 2025. This HAS to be paired with more additions for 25. I think Cam Smith is the truth and I think Paredes is going to put up #s are home and get on base like we need.

I don't know, it looks like he would have had something like 19 additional homers last year in the Crawford boxes.

This is where I land, also. Hopefully, Crane lets Dana cook up a couple of more moves to shore up the outfield and maybe another corner spot.
