I still don't think that would present a real obstacle to a Belli deal.
I have thought that Belli was a good fit, but his value to us would be somewhat diminished by acquiring Paredes. Belli is not an elite CF any more, and a lot of his value is to be able to play both CF and 1B which both help us.
If you acquire Paredes, especially if Cam Smith or another highly regarded IF prospect is included, then Paredes is only at 3B for the short term and projects to eventually slide to 1B, making Bellinger's versatility a little less valuable to the Astros.
Suzuki is a better bat and a better financial fit.
