I've been a DTV subscriber for 10+ years, but was pissed about the ESPN standoff. THEN they sent an email notifying of a price increase during this ESPN standoff. Talk about being tone deaf. So I moved to YTV and Google Fiber. Been great so far, but no Rangers the past few days. We will see what kind of tv deal the Rangers get for2025, then I'll make a decision on that. Hopefully it's available on YTV.
No it's been a running joke for years that he is the last DirecTV subscriber and he just did a segment this week about how he cancelled DTV finally.

Good job by the org. I felt bad last year that it didn't work out for him hitting the escalator on his player option that would get him up to $20million instead of $12, but the reality is we couldn't waste him throwing mediocre innings last year.
But good to see that he ended up making nearly the same amount from the performance bonuses.

I'd also like to add that for all of the vitriol directed toward Dave Raymond (from myself, too, at times), it is evident that he loves the game and studies it. He's not just some corporate-appointed mercenary. And he certainly doesn't bring the arrogance of some of the national guys. He does in some ways remind me of the Norm Hitzges quirkiness that we remember from the 1980's.

Rangers could have mailed it in, but fought to the end... even once eliminated.

We're still the reigning Champs for another month or so. I'm sure it will get mentioned quite a bit during the playoffs. Hopefully a National League team wins the WS but as always, anyone but the cheating assbags will work.
Just never came together this season for a variety of reasons, but this is still a franchise fully capable of winning a title in 2025.
I want a 2nd round of rings. Lets see what next year brings.
