Red Sox also swept by Astros.

Bottom line is we went 3-6 against the Astros, Yankees, and Red Sox in back to back series. We needed 6-3 or better. Not even close to hitting the mark. Has been a trend all season long. We've been getting swept in lots of series where even winning 1 would've been fine.

Reality is the smith home run against the Astros and the win against the Red Sox tonight would both be 100X more fun if they weren't just clutch hits that literally saved us from being swept.

If they won't do roboumps, then they absolutely have to bring in the challenge system that they are using in the minors. The technology is there and it is showing how much these umpires are affecting the outcome of games. No excuse for it anymore.

I'll say it until I'm blue in the face. There's ZERO accountability for umpires missing calls. NONE. And there's clear evidence that these missed calls significantly impact games. It's no longer just a "human element."

The absolute worst part of Major League Baseball is how the umpires union has made these guys untouchable. No one is ever held accountable and none is ever fired. Some of them develop this god complex where they believe they can do anything they want and they taunt the players with it.

I wish MLB would fire everyone damn one of them, tell the union to kiss its ass and promote from the minors so they can be involved in the human element while roboumps call balls and strikes.
