I've beaten a dead horse with my opinion on this topic, but there was no way that the Rangers were going to outbid the Padres when they had Eovaldi, Gray, Dunning, Heaney and Bradford as the rotation with the expectation that DeGrom, Mahle and Scherzer would all be available for the playoff run. Plus the guys on the farm and I think Lorenzen was signed when that traded happened, but I don't remember exactly and don't care enough to look it up.

This offense is starting to piss me off. 18 innings at home against the tigers and we have 1 run?

We've officially caught whatever it is the Astros had where we just play like lifeless zombies at home.

Bleh. I feel slightly better about the Rangers woes when I read that offense is down around the league. MLB hitting is pretty bad across the board. The technology boom helped pitchers waaay more than the hitters. Not sure if offense will ever catch up. Doesn't help that the new ballpark is a graveyard.

I keep thinking the triple AAA jump to the majors is huge and we didn't give him hardly any seasoning in the minors, but I'm starting to get a little impatient about him.

He's starting to barrel more balls. I feel like it's coming, just got to stay patient. My beef with him is he's too selective with his pitches. Get up there ready to do damage, not work counts.

Throw Langford in the minors till august, rest Carter till august, don't rush DeGrom, and dominate in 25!

Hopefully Jung is the missing piece for this offense and we explode for a significant amount of time when he comes back. Sure we have pitchers coming back but what does it matter if we can't score? We need offensive production. Jung has to be the answer if we expect to compete this season.

Hell no. Plenty of time to do something with this season.

Lets see… we have complained about Lowe not doing what he used to in majors plus Langford not living up to expectations in majors… then Carter is he hurt or not living up to previous #. are we at a crossroads with coaching/ management for young ish players??? Seager and Semien gonna do their thing regardless….. any thoughts on coaching taking half the lineup in a bad direction?

Jung is going to help this team, but he's not going to fix this thing completely. Not when Adolis Garcia is slashing .231/.280/.450/.730 (.280 OBP is heinous), and Jonah Heim, Wyatt Langford and Nathaniel Lowe all with OPS's of .700 or less (.584 for Wyatt). One guy isn't fixing that.

I feel like there is something wrong with his swing. He's a big guy but he's limited to warning track power. Balls that should leave the yard don't. Send him to Round rock so he can learn to hit with power using a wooden bat.
