I think when he left the game early, we all thought something was up. There was speculation getting hit by the ball might have caused the issue.

I'll start worrying about pitching injuries when the offense and defense show up.

I'm excited to see what Tinoco can do... you know... a RP we picked up from the Vz Winter League who was in Japan in 2023... that we dumped in 2022.

Don't think we'll see Leiter anytime soon. Aside from injury (which we had) they have a 10 day requirement when sent down, IIRC.

If that's their mentality then we are in trouble. Last year we had a ton of injuries but the motto was always next man up. That's why they were able to compete.

"Next man up" is a good slogan until you start putting guys on the 60 so you can add bodies to the the 40, so you can field a team.

Still next man up, but it can take some wind out of the sail if you are banged up and having to push through, yourself.

Seager with an off day after 2 Es... and he seems to still not have reached 100%. Carter back in the lineup because Adolis can't throw a ball.

You push and grind... but you are still going to struggle and may nit be able to get enough to get it done.

Yeah I hear what you are saying and I agree with it in the aspect of not having enough to win. My thing is more towards the healthy guys. Its hard to blame injuries when a lot of the guys in the lineup can play better. I have no doubt they are trying their best but the fact is they can play better. The team needs to focus on playing clean situational baseball. Let's clean up the mistakes on defense, hit with guys in scoring position, and steal more bases. Once we start doing those things and we still can't win, then I can see how the injuries can deflate the team. No doubt the injuries hurt the team but I to refuse to believe that our current heathy players are only good enough to win 2 out 10 games.

What is with all the groin injuries?

No hockey, basketball team is a shoe-in lottery pick every year, Astros appear to have gotten old overnight, so then you put everything you have into the Texans, who have 5 playoff games in franchise history.
