Dunning has absolutely 0 control of the curveball today, but it has worked out for him every time he has thrown it.
He then proceeded to barely miss a barrel on a 300' out and missed his spot by 5 feet with an 0-2 curveball but luckily it was against Baez, one of the worst hitters in the league.KT 90 said:

Maybe 30/30 if the wind wasn't blowing in like it is today.
I always thought Dunning was better out of pen. He's got stuff that moves a country mile, which really plays in the pen. Plus he can throw his fastball a little harder.
I think when he has his good stuff, it is good enough at missing barrels and he is so good at getting DPs, I think he is fine as a starter.Tksymm7 said:

He just didn't have it today, and good on him for fighting and getting through 5 with only 1 run allowed.

It was supposed to be 52F at the end of G1 on Monday. It is supposed to be 62F at 9pm tonight. They seem to play a bunch of day games and looking forward, especially on weekends.

WHIP counts a W and H as equal. Some people hate Ws more than Hs. I've always said I'd prefer a W over a H, except for PC reasons.
Here is Dunnings line:
5.0 IP, 2 H, 1 ER, 4 BB, 5K; 93-53
So, a 1.20 WHIP. Aside from the HR, the BBs were never a threat.
He's walked a ton, but by-and-large, I think that has been a statistically fantastic game. Except he won't get out of the 5th.

After how they took the lead yesterday, we're even.
This ballpark seriously blows though. I understand not wanting to be minute maid or Yankee stadium, but good lord your're killing your own team just as much as your are killing other teams. Plus it's not fun to watch games there.
Can't believe Dunning is going back out there.... Looks like Latz is ready to go at the first sign of danger, but this is wild to me...
