Leclerc pitching like **** isn't weird. It's expected.

Sigh. No way blowing leads to Oakland in April will haunt you in September, right? What a waste of another good start.

Leclerc is who he is at this point. Time to cut bait

I mean the pitch he threw was a 95 mph fastball above the zone. Some times you just gotta tip your hat.

Our bullpen situation doesn't seem much better than last year. I don't think being done with Leclerc is the answer, but he's certainly not a closer.

True, but it's no longer a small sample size. It's every time he has come into the game this season.

Maybe take a break for a while. You're gonna have an aneurysm if a single early season game gets you this upset
gigem1223

Disagree. Robertson, Urena, and Yates are much better options than what we had last season. Once we get some SPs back things will get better. Just gonna be bumpy till then.

You guys are aware LeClerc had a 2.68 ERA last year, right?

I mean, I'm not against moving him out of the closer role as I've been saying that for a year now watching him come out looking like he'd rather be painting than pitching... but cut bait?

Oh **** off. I've been a Ranger fan probably longer than you've been alive.

It's ok to get pissed when you **** the bed to the worst team in the league.

Maybe you have been, but some how despite being a fan longer than I've been alive, you have the maturity of a thirteen year old.

I hope you get banned.

Flounder, get a grip man. Baseball is a weird sport some nights, Langeliers having 3 homers is just part of it. It sucks and we're in a funk but we also were starting Duran, Wendzel, and Smith. They have talent but we were asking for a rough game.

Short memories for some. We don't win the World Series without him. I'd prefer a closer by committee role till things get sorted but definitely don't want to cut bait with LeClerc yet.

Sorry, didn't phrase it well. I meant more at the organizational level. I like the arms we have at the major league level, but it doesn't feel like we have any sure things waiting in the minors to take Leclerc's spot.

Like I said earlier, I have seen lots of bad baseball in my life. I am dealing with some heavy **** that got dumped in my lap today. This game just brought it out. Everyone just ignore me. I'll stop posting now and go back to dealing with reality life.

It wasn't much above the zone, it was still hitable. To the only A's that could beat him.
LeClerc needs some low leverage duty.

Worry is it might be too bumpy before the injured arms return, meaning they won't make a difference.

There are enough bats on this team to make up for the lack of arms, yet they somehow are going quiet too often.

This team is not gonna be winning games 2-1 or 3-2 with the current state of pitching, gonna have to score a half dozen or more a game.

Sure. In 57 IP in 2023 he allowed 67 base runners. He's constantly playing with fire when he's asked to pitch in high leverage situations

Tough loss… Same as last season where the Rangers blew their first home game vs the A's in April. Let's blow them out in Game 2 like last year!

At least the Mavs and Ags took care of business tonight, Stars are on their way…. and it's always a good night when the Astros lose.

I wonder if Pittsburgh fans are ready to cut bait with Bednar? He has blown 3 saves in 4 opportunities this season, Hader has blown 2. Bullpens are fickle. There's a reason why these guys are bullpen arms and not starters.

The Ags also had a guy hit 3 HRs tonight (which doubled his season count), and one was the walk-off, so the baseball gods had to even it out somewhere.

The bats will come around. Jung was a huge injury and Nate Lowe is right around the corner. Nights that Corey takes off are going to be tuff more likely than not till we get healthier.

Hernandez will be up soon and will be a nice addition. He's pitched 3 games, 3 IP, 0 ERs. He looked to turn a corner in September last year and seems to have carried it over. Always had great stuff.

As good as the kids have been, the lack of extra base hits are hurting the team, especially when they're in the middle of the lineup. Carter seems to be awakening so hopefully that continues. To me he's the ideal lead off hitter. Sees a ton of pitches and gets on base. I know this goes against what Boch likes but I think he needs to shuffle the line up some with all these injuries.

A line up like below would seem to make more sense to me.

Carter
Semien
Seager
Garcia
Heim
Langford
Walsh/ Duran
Smith/ Wendzel
Taveras/ Janko

ONE EFFING GUY……ONE EFFING GUY……. ONE EFFING GUY

That's literally been the theme of our last few losses. Our total inability to get one really hot / scorching hitter out who keeps beating our pitching staff around all night like a red headed step child.

Yordan made our pitching staff his ***** for 2 games and he literally passed the mantle to this langeliers guy. I'm surprised we didn't walk langeliers with 1 out already and he's the only guy who's done any damage at all tonight. The rest of the A's team have hardly gotten any hits.

These last 3 losses have been very excruciating. Lots of choking and bed ****ting.

Losing to this minor league team pisses me off.
