The real skill there was how well he timed his approach to maximize his reach at the perfect time. You rarely see a guy track a ball to the wall under that much control for that long. He had his plan mapped out from 40+ feet away

They were both great catches. Those two are the best HR robbery catches that come to mind for the Rangers.

Idgaf what the stats say, El Blondi has a 2.0 WAR as far as I'm concerned between this robbery and his HR against the Cubs in the 9th inning at the beginning of the season.

I would point this out tho - the stupid 2011 Cardinals were 8.5 back on Sept 1. We are 9. Making up 7-9 in September is rare but not crazy rare. Now I think we are beyond donesky, but stranger things have happened.

True, but that was also one of the greatest MLB collapses in history.
And the more significant aspect - they were only chasing one team. We're chasing two. And while they only had 3 head-to-head games left against the team they were chasing (Atlanta), we have zero.

Yeah don't take my responses as telling you that you're wrong or stupid for believing we have a chance, I'm just talking as well.
