We are at the point where I either hope we lose every game going forward or make a huge run. Finishing with 77 wins is the worst possible outcome.

We could easily finish with the 5th worst record. There is a large drop in lottery percentage going from 4th to 5th, but if we all come together and force ineptitude, I believe we can get 4th. Would require sacrifice and a true team effort to get that done. We would essentially have to sneak past Oakland.

I'm glad I went with my hunch that this year would not be good. I just didn't see it continuing another year. It is the Texas Rangers, after all. Oh well, at least we have last year.

My most hated signing by the Rangers in recent memory. I'm not sure if it was incompetence or laziness, but there was never any reason to sign that guy to a two year contract.

14 innings so far today and the Rangers have scored one run. I have two big fears going forward.

1. The offensive coordinator and hitting coach are allowed to return.

2. The front office goes the lazy route and promotes Will Venable to manager when Bochy retires.

Very annoyed with how many runs we give up in the 1st inning this year.

What a frustrating year. If Bochy actually challenges the Smith hit we score 1+ runs in the 1st. Instead, we're down 1-0 because of a Jung throwing error.

Why can't we score when Heaney pitches?

No slug and we don't even try to steal bases against one of the easiest pitchers to steal against. If you're going to hit singles and take walks you've got to manufacture runs. Something has to change.

So freaking pathetic. Guy on 2nd no out, Semien swings at a 3-2 pitch in the dirt and a foot outside, Langford swings at two pitches a foot off the plate and takes strike three, Lowe strikes out on three pitches with the last one in the dirt. So bad

Seems like a great guy/clubhouse presence based on the podcast he does with Jared Sandler, but man it's tough to see that being the case

I agree the overall performance (wins/losses) has been a bummer. I turned the game on yesterday and saw the bullpen meltdown to put the Yankees up 8-3. Thought we'd were going to pack it in and get ready for Boston. But they came back to make it 8-7 and had the tie run on third base... so I'll give them that. But the overall consistency hasn't been there, particularly the bats. Garcia of all people is got hot over the weekend... lol. Maybe he can keep that going in Boston.

Oh, and two weeks ago we had a glut of starting pitchers and were able to trade one SP away. Now they are dropping like flies and Garabito is our projected SP for Wednesday game.
