We would have won the WS in 2021 for sure with Gerrit Cole, Morton and Springer. 2022 who knows but I'd venture to guess Correa would have turned it on in October again

We wouldn't be extending Tucker or Bregman but we would have won the 2021 WS with Cole and Morton in our rotation. Also 2022 likely would have played out similarly because we won that off the backs of the hot bullpen and clutch hits (which Correa and springer always seemed to provide in October).

Short term would have been better but long term it would have been bad. World Series titles in 2021 and 2022 (maybe 2020 as well with Morton and Cole, especially since Morton beat us twice in the ALCS) but then we'd be dragging around those max deals from 2023 to beyond which would have sucked

In hindsight, Morton is the only one that I'm upset about. We could've gotten him for a pretty affordable deal and he would've really made the difference in 2020 for sure. The others I think we're better off without
