And with all the pitches on the Mets and Braves pen, both are screwed for game 2 if needed and tomorrow.
What a disaster by the Braves. This may have been the worst loss of the season.

It's a 50-50 decision whether Alvarez is on the playoff roster, which has to be in by 10 a.m. tomorrow.

Jose Altuve on Alex Bregman: "I think I'm confident about ownership, the front office and coaches getting together and putting a great contract (together) for him and making him stay here the rest of his career."

Nope they get the Friars and the Braves get the Brewers.Texaggie7nine said:
Met's lose and they get Brewers. I think that is their best option.

Where would the Astros be right now had they resigned every big name the fans wanted but they let go elsewhere?
Well, if he plays in the post season instead of out for the year, is it a dodged bullet?tjack16 said:Prosperdick said:It's a 50-50 decision whether Alvarez is on the playoff roster, which has to be in by 10 a.m. tomorrow.

"We dodged a bullet with Yordan" - Astros last week
Just curious, what is the penalty if it's not in until 10:30? Surely we don't forfeit.Prosperdick said:It's a 50-50 decision whether Alvarez is on the playoff roster, which has to be in by 10 a.m. tomorrow.

We would have won the WS in 2021 for sure with Gerrit Cole, Morton and Springer. 2022 who knows but I'd venture to guess Correa would have turned it on in October again
So I'd imagine we would have back to back titles in 2021 and 2022 if we had re-signed Cole, Springer, Correa and Morton

And only winning 1-0. It was still a huge gamble.

For sure? Interesting.
That's also an extra $115+mm between those 4 guys.
Can't really even entertain the thought of extending Bregman or Tucker with them. Let alone filling in the rest of the lineup.
