That's what happens when you retire. That and you talk to people a lot more than they want you to talk to them....Beau Holder said:

I wasn't keeping up during the game but was it discussed why was YK pulled last night?
IIRC he was at 80 something pitches with 2 outs and the lefty Masataka coming up.
Just thought it was odd timing.
Was the PHer announced after Scott was announced?

Surprised I didn't get takers at work for tonight's game - so anyone looking for 4 tonight claim them (first to post) and then PM me the email address you want them sent to
Phil Maton could fit in the fixed category.Farmer1906 said:
YK got me thinking, how many pitchers have we fixed/developed during this run?
Fixed
- Kikuchi
- Taylor Scott
- Montero - but he broke again
- Stanek
- Raley
- Cole - elite talent, but needed HOU to put it together for him.
- Verlander - already on the HOF path but was trending down at 34 before he came to Houston. HOU ERA (34-41) is a whole run lower than DET (22-34)
- Morton
- McHugh
- Harris
Developed
- Keuchel
- McCullers
- Framber
- Urqudiy
- Garcia
- Javier
- Abreu
- Blanco
- Brown
- Peacock
- Devinski
I am sure I am missing some and there is some we can probably argue about, but what an arm factory.
Or you see that Kikuchi was at 99 pitches, the last 3 batters hit the ball 104.1, 106.5, 107.8, & he's terrible the 3rd time thru.superaggie73 said:Ag_07 said:

The pinch hitter was announced after we brought Scott in, but Espada should have known they would bring him in once we pulled Yusei. Really bad managing by Espada basically begging Cora to bring in his 3rd best hitter.
Yea but I still would've let him go one more batter, dude deserved it to go 1 more. He was dealing, I don't think Cora would've brought in a PH if Yusei would've stayed in the game.Farmer1906 said:Or you see that Kikuchi was at 99 pitches, the last 3 batters hit the ball 104.1, 106.5, 107.8, & he's terrible the 3rd time thru.superaggie73 said:Ag_07 said:

Cora has a lineup of tough match ups bullets to fire. That is how the Red Sox roster is constructed.

The Astros claimed outfielder Ben Gamel off waivers from the Mets. J.P. France goes to the 60-day IL to clear a spot on the 40-man roster.

AAAA type. But he's hit well in AAA, especially vs RHP. He's looked good in his short stint in the bigs this year.EastCoastAgNc said:The Astros claimed outfielder Ben Gamel off waivers from the Mets. J.P. France goes to the 60-day IL to clear a spot on the 40-man roster.

But then again...I'm only a "Couch Manager" I don't get paid the big bucks.
Alex Bregman COULD be available tonight, depending how he feels after taking pregame swings.
