To me, and just my personal opinion, the amount of at bats is marginal between batting 2 and 3. I'd rather 2 be a guy more likely to get on base or advance the runner, and 3 be a reliable run producer. The difference in at bats starts more when you get to 4, 5, and 6. You don't want Tucker, Yordan, Altuve, or June-postseason Bregman batting below 4.
