We definitely need more from Pena at the plate. Maybe that's unfair to him, but we don't have the luxury to let him be an average hitter in the 8 or 9 hole.

Thats kind of my point. The 10 year deals are for guys who are 27 or 28. You get 3 or 4 prime years and then you're at the stage where it's a 6 or 7 year deal. Well, the guys getting those deals are 30 or 31. Why not do 10 years for the younger guy rather than 6 or 7 for an older one (or 3 for a really old one)?Farmer1906 said:

I saw a Bleacher Report article that predicted we resign Bregman to a 7/$210 deal.
I don't think there's any way in hell we (or anyone else for that matter) pay him that.
