Not overly upset we gave up Loperfido. I like him a lot and am high on him but I thought he would be a part of any major deal … also assumed it would be for a better return like Flaherty, Snell or Skubal

Is this like definitely confirmed? This might be the most stupid trade ever. Our #1 young player who everyone can see is going to be a star (Joey), one of our best pitching prospects (Bloss) for a rental who has an 8 ERA in his last 5 starts who is like 31 years old. This is insane

Kikuchi isn't even in the playoff rotation. He's a pure innings eater for the regular season.
It doesn't look like a good trade purely on value but Bloss is the only guy we gave up I have any fear of thinking "Wow I wish we didn't trade that guy"
This is one of the biggest reaches on a rental that I've ever seen. Our farm system is super thin as it is, and we can't afford inefficient use of those resources.

It's obviously terrible long-term but is it even better in the short-term? Kikuchi is an upgrade from Bloss, but we're probably still losing every time he starts. And now our RF is overall worse...
