Yall think im overreacting saying Dana should be fired now?
He should
This deal is atrocious. He may be a good scout, but he's a terrible negotiator/ dealer
This is a massive fleecing
Montas going to Brewers in agreement

Last Japanese player the Astros had experienced crippling issues with his anus. Not a good sign.
Whitcomb and Dezenzo are better corner IF prospects than Wagner. Leon, Cole and Melton are similar to Joey. We know Dana loves both Melton and Cole, who are both left handed hitters, so Joey was duplicative. Leon gives you a right-handed version of basically the same thing.redline248 said:
Dana must be really high on Dezenzo if he was willing to part with Wagner?
Deal doesn't seem like a good one, unless the nerds unlock this guy's full potential...

Wagner is a JAG. Loperfido has serious K issues and isn't exactly young. He may figure it out but I wouldn't be shocked if he's also a JAG. Bloss to me is the biggest loss but we have done fairly well in developing SP. Agree the totality of the value seems like way too much but as been said a top 5 prospect for us may be seen as a top 10-15 prospect elsewhere.
The odd part to me is you are trying to win and gave up 2 guys on your big league roster. Who takes Joey's role? Leon?

I'm livid man. In what world is this a good trade?
None of the guys we traded are franchise type talents. Kikuchi owns the Orioles and Yanks so he better be starting any playoff games against them. He can also be a lefty bullpen option if it's not a good starting matchup.CoachRTM said:
This is a franchise/dynasty defining moment.
Kikuchi isn't even in the playoff rotation. He's a pure innings eater for the regular season.
