Seems to me we are loaded with Chas type guys. Under the radar guys who can plug holes and play average ball at the bottom of the lineup. There's value in that (average is better than Jose Abreu) but I don't see anyone replacing a Bregman or Tucker anytime soon.

I don’t see the Astros trading for Blake Snell, to get ahead of the comments and questions on this. He has a player option for 2025 and would move the Astros way over the 2nd luxury tax threshold.

Houston was a starting pitcher with control if they are moving prospects.

That or you are committed to spending big. The free agent class after 2025 looks pretty good if you want a mid tier bat. At 1B you could pursue Vlad, Naylor, or Lamont Wade. Schwarber and Ozuna will also be available and could potentially play 1B. Vlad or Naylor might be 5 year deals but the rest should be easy short term plugs.

3B is the main issue. Free agency is trash this year and next so while Paredes is a luxury this year he should be number one on the target list for long term planning.

Hard to judge with the stacked Os system, but per FanGraphs its their 13th, 25th, and unranked prospects.

The Rays are a pretty tough team to deal with. They have a pretty specific blueprint for the type of prospects they want.

Seattle sent #7 and #21 prospects for Randy. Now Yimi costs them #14 and an unranked. Again, this is based on FanGraphs rankings.

It would be Arrighetti, Amaya, & Ferreras for comps in our lesser system.

I'm all for being patient, but I really do hope they can get a starter to go Monday. I don't think any of us want to see Bloss face off with Skenes.

Yeah. Good trade for the O's. Basically just moved organizational depth. Elfin isn't elite so I didn't expect a huge return.
