We have a double contender trade
We had Sirr Parker back in the day.
Seems to me we are loaded with Chas type guys. Under the radar guys who can plug holes and play average ball at the bottom of the lineup. There's value in that (average is better than Jose Abreu) but I don't see anyone replacing a Bregman or Tucker anytime soon.Farmer1906 said:
6 months ago? I wouldn't have given him a second thought. Now? He's shown more than I expected. He could be in the plans. I still like him less than the 2 listed.
They're converting him into a corner outfielder.MaxPower said:No Whitcomb love?Farmer1906 said:
Similar but different take here..879 OPS vs lefties. I love it.

He can be serviceable at 3B if Bregman leaves next year. Then the Astros can develop Brice Matthews at 3B. I see Dezenzo as a 1B https://t.co/ikFWp5v80a pic.twitter.com/VV8UoNKVSn
Multiple teams have reached out to the Rockies about the availability of Ryan McMahon, per sources, but Colorado does not appear intent on moving him. The Rockies do have other players that could move including Cal Quantrill, Austin Gomber and Elias Diaz.

Here's a wild idea… they could try to extend Tucker instead of replacing him
The Astros signed first-round pick Walker Janek for his full slot value of $3,130,000, source tells @TheAthletic. Janek will be at Minute Maid Park today.

Dana Brown masterclass, running up the bidding so the Mariners overpay while he works out a deal for the players he really wants (not coping or fantasizing btw) https://t.co/Bcw7SVVeQq

I don’t see the Astros trading for Blake Snell, to get ahead of the comments and questions on this. He has a player option for 2025 and would move the Astros way over the 2nd luxury tax threshold.

Houston was a starting pitcher with control if they are moving prospects.
Shohei Ohtani has taken more plate appearances against Framber Valdez than any pitcher in baseball. Ohtani is 4-for-34 against him with one home run, six walks and 12 strikeouts.

That or you are committed to spending big. The free agent class after 2025 looks pretty good if you want a mid tier bat. At 1B you could pursue Vlad, Naylor, or Lamont Wade. Schwarber and Ozuna will also be available and could potentially play 1B. Vlad or Naylor might be 5 year deals but the rest should be easy short term plugs.tjack16 said:

Count the Rangers among the teams that have had discussions with the Rays about All-Star Isaac Paredes, as well as Yandy Diaz. Texas is looking for an upgrade to its offense, in a year in which Josh Jung and Evan Carter has been out for months.
