I must say I was pleasantly surprised by Arrighetti today. I for sure thought he'd give up more than just one run.
There's probably only a dozen players in the AL that would give an opposing manager a second thought of pitching around Yordan in a situation like that. Unfortunately, we have one of those dozen sitting on the bench right now.
If your critique of Diaz is that he's not Yordan or Tucker, than I guess I don't have a response to that.

As much as I hate the Rangers, their closer is 15/15. The time to win was in the 9th, but NY took the bat out of Altuves hands.

We also made the playoffs last year by the hair of our chin so that shouldn't be an aspirational goal. We still have a very tough road ahead but obviously we should all be much more optimistic with how they have played the last month.

Lets not also forget the EXTRA first round pick we would have if dusty wasn't a complete moron and played diaz last year. Diaz would have easily won rookie of the year over gunner Henderson if dusty even plays him every other day and split time with maldy.
Gunner had over 200 more ABs than Diaz and similar numbers. That's nauseating we could have had 2 first round picks today and almost went to WS again.

Is it just me or does it seem like Yordan has lost a bit of his power? Maybe it's b/c he's getting pitched around, but it seems like he's fallen off a bit. I'm sure someone can come up with some stats to quantify it.

I think he is being pitched around b/c his exit velocity is still insanely high as the dude rips the ball through the infield regularly. He just isn't seeing good pitches right now b/c there's no consistent threat over his shoulder.
