I'm convinced you're trolling and I gotta tip my cap you got me for a while

And again… the home run to Correa was just a great hitter hitting an almost impossible pitch. Sometimes you have to tip your cap.

Yeah I'm done with this argument. Truly bizarre
Hader on his career has given up a homer for about every 8 innings pitched (52 HR over 427 innings). Don't know if that is high or not, but seems like a pretty high number.AggiEE said:Beau Holder said:
"Save conversions isn't the whole story" of a closer right after referencing ERA and ignoring all the advanced stats is sure a position.
Yeah I would care about a closer being able to convert games when we're not ahead by multiple runs, like in the playoffs.
He gives up a massive amount of homers
If and when Kaleb Ort appears in a game, he'll be the 29th different pitcher used by the Astros this season. Only two teams have used more: the Brewers and Marlins. The Astros used 24 pitchers last season and 22 in 2022.

Agreed. I didn't like the signing but he's been solid. Not like he's bullpen Jose Abreu.Ag_07 said:
ERA isn't the whole story. It certainly works for your narrative but it's not the end all be all.
If he's not blowing saves IDGAF how many runs he gives up.
Yeah I brought that up a month or so ago. This team needs to be in the division lead by the end of August but I think that's realistic. All I do is Nguyen said:

And not even taking into account that we had a 8(?) run lead at the beginning of the inning and he had to RUSH to get loose. He was thrown in a bad situation.

I see us going 16-12 in August. Hopefully better though
If we can manage 9-6 for that first 15 game stretch I think we will be fine and it's doable
2-1 vs TB
2-1 @ TEX
3-3 on the Boston/TB road trip
2-1 vs CWS

That is rough but a lot can angels between now and then. I expect the Rangers & Rays to have been sellers at the deadline. The White Sox on still going to be ass. The Royals aren't built for the long term.
Caratini said he's able to hit, catch and throw as he rehabs from a hip flexor injury he described as a Grade 2 tear. The last hurdle for him is running, which is he's doing at 80-85 percent. When he can run 100 percent without any issues, he'll be able to get out on a Minor…
