That makes a lot of sense for Milwaukee.

They gave up their 21st ranked prospect. The Astros should 100% go after Littell if the cost is anywhere near that.

Always beware of trading for or signing pitchers who have played for Tampa. They use and abuse those guys and they usually get injured not long after leaving.

If its "-" then below, if its "+" then above.

If your ERA- is 95 then you're 5% better than league avg.

If your ERA+ is 105 then you're also 5% better than league avg.

I don't really disagree. But also it's all about run differential.

Who cares how many runs you score as long as it's more than the other guys. So if you're pitching is good enough to pick up the slack for your sheety offense then hey take it and run.

With that said SEA is a fraud and their offensive problems will catch up to them here pretty soon. Big question is what acquisitions are they gonna end up adding.

You know Dipoto is chomping at the bit to make some deals.

Sure there is. They're on a budget. Vlad puts them closer to 150 M this year. That's probably more than they're willing to do. Plus they only have 16 M coming off the books next year. Most (all? More than?) of that is going to be eaten up with arbitration raises. Vlad is probably going to get ~25 M next year.

The only way to can make room him would be to move someone like Castillo or Julio.

His starts need to last longer for him to qualify for the leaderboard, but if he had a handful more innings pitched he'd qualify as having the worst ERA and WHIP in MLB for starting pitchers. The current worst has a 5.75 ERA and 1.54 WHIP with 83 innings pitched in 17 starts (compared to a 6.13 ERA, 1.65 WHIP, and 69 innings pitched in 15 starts for SA).
