Dana Brown on getting more catcher depth in the system. From the @SeanUnfiltered show
I agree. It's the easiest position to play and you don't put a guy who is skilled enough to have spent significant time playing CF and 2b at 1b unless there's a logjam (like with Yuli).Ag_07 said:
I think he's too good of an OFer to try and convert to 1B.
Especially if they move an OFer at the deadline.
Being cautious now may safe a lot of money next year.EastCoastAgNc said:“These things are tough then you think. We thought it would be a quick 15-day IL… he still has discomfort in his neck… it’s hard to put timetables on injuries.”

Joe Espada said Justin Verlander is gaining strength in his neck, but he’s still not throwing and will not travel with the team to New York. Espada said Verlander will probably need to make a rehab before he can return to a Major League mound

Shawn Dubin is an option to start one of the games in New York, essentially as an opener in what would be a bullpen game, Espada said. The Astros have not said how they’ll line up their rotation for the Mets series.

I don't think there's any danger of him coming up unless Diaz or Salazar got hurt. He seems like nothing more than an insurance policy. All I do is Nguyen said:
