I agree. It's the easiest position to play and you don't put a guy who is skilled enough to have spent significant time playing CF and 2b at 1b unless there's a logjam (like with Yuli).

There are so many solid 1b around the league that it's really puzzling to me that we have had such a hard time finding a decent option or developing one internally.

Also Singleton is trash. He needs to go to Korea or Japan where he can be a legend. He's not a major league hitter.

Alex Bregman has a .952 OPS since June 1. Yainer has .902, Chas .837. Those 3 guys were scuffling bad earlier. It's nice to see them getting it going.

Especially with Singleton (.524), Meyers (.555) and Pena (.513) all slipping. Singleton is 5-19, all singles, since Abreu was cut.
