I don't care for them.

Me back on May 7:
"Is what we're seeing why it took so long to hire Espada?"
Almost a month later and we may be seeing the answer to my question.

I thought he was the answer but it appears, two months into the season, he may not have been the best choice.
Who would have been better? Don't know. I'm left underwhelmed by Espada.

The easy choice now is Tito…he's the only choice
Luis Rodriguez, the 20-year-old pitcher acquired in the Corey Julks trade, has been great since the deal in the FCL:

Might be due for a promotion to Fayetteville soon. #Astros
It's Girls Day Out at Minute Maid Park, so Ryan Pressly, Josh Hader, Mauricio Dubón, Kyle Tucker, Tayler Scott and Dana Brown all caught ceremonial first pitches from their wives.

This. Makes me wonder if they had conversations before hiring espeda with other veteran managers and during those conversations they asked for more control, etc and either crane/dana said no or they saw the writing on the wall with crane/dana/Bagwell that they wanted no part of it. Hence, hiring espeda because he was a yes man and knowing he wouldn't turn down the job.

I think this team needs someone like Tito who has pelts on the wall.
A lot of these players have their own pelts so I'm not sure they'll respond to with someone who hasn't achieved what they have.
Someone like Tito and even Dusty to an extent who has a track record and can resonate with these guys.
Espada who very well could be a baseball genius just doesn't have the track record that garners attention from a team full of guys who've won a lot.
Moments after that Yordonger, I turned to me wife and said in an announcer voice, "next up for the Astros, pop up…I mean Alex Bregman!" And then he did on the first pitch. Like clockwork…The Porkchop Express said:
Minutes after my ban ends, a Yordonger!
