Pressly had to have a confidence hit with the demotion, after he has performed so well. Baseball is a mental game.

This team has bigger issues than Pressly, Hader, Bregman, etc. It starts with Crane, Brown and Espada -- those guys are losers -- and exude zero confidence.

If Pressley's era wasn't in the 6's, I'd agree with you. But he's been unreliable all year

Pressly didn't misplay the ball at 1B or throw the ball away. Or not catch the PB. Lots of bad juju to go around out there.

Abreu cannot play in the field the rest of this series. He just can't.

The liability that is Jose Abreu, both at the plate and the in the field, cannot be overstated. This team has to be near perfect these days to win and between the plate and 1B he is getting far too many opportunities versus the division leader.

Why not use a defensive sub in a close game? Why not play Jon there to begin with? So many questions about the absurdity of this entire ordeal.

The momentum built in the last month is on vapors.

This org isn't doing its best to win and that's enough to know they're not going to dig out of this hole.

I'd rather be watching a young but exciting team a couple years away from contending. Hard to believe it but this isn't a team worth watching night in and night out.

You are misconstruing my statements. Abreu should be gone, but management is horrible and ****ed that up, like they've done to every move made this year. Again, this ****show isn't on the players.

Agreed. Maybe the Mariners will do them a favor in this series beatdown. Get a few prospects at the deadline, say goodbye to Bregman, make peace with the Abreu situation, put everything into re-signing Tucker (and then probably don't anyway), and get a decent 2025 draft pick.

It was a hell of a run. Wasted chances in 2019 and 2023 and then crashed and burned it at the end, but still will be hard for anyone (including us) to replicate.

Why bring Abreu back at all? It's not like he was tearing it up in the minors. He basically had two decent games in A ball and then sucked in AAA, and got promoted back to the show. The message it sends the team is performance doesn't matter.
