In unrelated news, the O's wore their City Connect jerseys tonight with white pants instead of the black. I like the look … know it's been discussed but I wish we'd consider it with our Space City jerseys.

Abreu has that ERA under 4 now so that's a positive. Just need Hader and Pressly to string together a few scoreless appearances

That's the area I have most hope in to improve from the first 30ish games.

Pressly might be in for a struggle year but I think Abreu and Hader will both finish the year with ERAs in the 3.25-3.60 range

Pressly is striking guys out at a career high rate and his FIP is 3.15. I'm not worried about him as long as he can stay healthy.

So he criticizes Dana's hiring because he didn't have prior GM experience. He was the VP of Scouting for the Braves. Does anyone know Luhnow's position with the Cardinals prior to Crane hiring him? That's right, VP of Scouting and Development.

And it's not like everything Luhnow touched was gold. Anyone remember trading Hader away in a package that netted us Gomez and Fiers? He also signed Tony Sipp to a three-year $18M deal in 2015, which was very much a Montero-like deal at the time.

I'd much rather have him starting than brown right now. Brown clearly doesn't have it between the ears and continuing to run him out there to fail on the big stage isn't gonna help that. When urquidy comes back, they are probably both headed down anyway
