I mentioned this in passing earlier, but it's a pretty astounding stat to me. Astros starting pitcher Hunter Brown faced 14 batters but threw only 40 pitches (2.9 per hitter). That is a textbook example of throwing cookies.

What was equally impressive is that, out of those 2.9 pitches per batter, quite a few of them were not even close to the zone. So, if HB was putting them near the plate, they were smashing it.

It's astounding just how bad the Astros are with runners on base. This streak is one for the hall of shame.
