Thank goodness for Ronel Blanco.
Seems the most logical description of circumstances. It's not uncommon owners start out letting people who know the industry run things for awhile and then become increasingly over involved.texasaggie2015 said:
It's so hard to get an accurate read on Dana because I just don't know how much freedom and leeway he actually has. I've been told Crane has had a really hard time trusting his people since the scandal and has become quite the micromanager ever since. Example: The Click situation which was mentioned above.
When it first happened, I was okay with it because I heard they didn't work well together and it seemed good to have someone who was on the same page as Crane. I'm starting to wonder if "not getting along" was more to do with Click not wanting to be micromanaged than anything else. Pure speculation on my part based off some of the things that have been mentioned to me.
That said, it's possible Dana just ain't it. It's just a weird situation all around.

26th. There are actually 4 teams worse than we are. Texas is one.scrimp said:
Haven't looked, but the Astros have to be leading the league in LOB by a wide margin, right? Good grief.
They need a tie-in with Red Lobster....it's LOBsterfest!!Phrasing said:
3 more LOB! They really want this record. #relentless.

This pen will be exhausted and broken by May.
Before this game, the Orioles led the league in Run Scoring Percentage, with 46% of their baserunners eventually scoring. The league average is 32%. The Astros were at 25%.

I mentioned this in passing earlier, but it's a pretty astounding stat to me. Astros starting pitcher Hunter Brown faced 14 batters but threw only 40 pitches (2.9 per hitter). That is a textbook example of throwing cookies.

I'd be curious of the exit velocities. Didn't seem like too many barrels.
