Winning 2/3 or 3/4 isn't going to be enough.

We need to start sweeping bad and mediocre teams

The pitching meltdowns and anemic offense leading to us losing winnable games isn't going to cut it

We gonna go 6-8 in those 14 games then trade all our prospects to get Alonso and still miss the playoffs. The Fellowship of Mid demands it.

It's all about "hope" and the "back of the baseball card." We've thrown analytics out the window and I'm not sure when or if it's ever coming back. This is a broken team and Espada and Dana certainly aren't going to fix it. We need to start being realistic about being sellers this year for the first time in decade.

For comparison Oregon's game 1 starter threw 101 in 3 innings vs the Aggies the other day. I know there is a big difference in the college and big league, but it might be a good idea to make pitchers work at least a little bit.

Exactly...if by some miracle we squeak into the playoffs we have ZERO chance. Might as well start selling pieces and see if we can't reload for next year although I'm starting to wonder if it will be a rebuild.

If Crane is adamant about the window stays open as long as he owns the team he will need to open up his checkbook for Tucker and probably buy at least another starter. Oh and probably let some other team wildly overpay for Bregman if he somehow continunes to turn it around the rest of the season.

Like you said this "hope" and back of the baseball card bs and being in a crappy division makes all of this so frustrating. There's no way our front office, GM, and Manager are this dumb. Why in the world is Abreu still in the lineup, for what reason. This makes no sense whatsoever.

This team has 3-4 guys in the lineup everyday that should be role players at best.

Top of the 6th, Astros score 2 on Yordan's HR to get the game within striking distance at 5-3 Giants.

Top of the 7th, Caratini singles to lead off the inning. Jose Abreu (.127/.171/.200) comes up to bat, and, of course, rolls the ball over into a tailor-made double play to kill any momentum, while Meyers (.263/.325/.429) sits the bench.

This squad is broken. And it's amazing Abreu is still SLUGGING under .200.
