Forget pitching, the Astros’ biggest issue is timely hitting.
In 8 of their 9 losses, this deadly offense has scored 3 runs or less.
Good teams leave the most baserunners on because they have the most baserunners.
Last year we had a 121 wRC+ with runners on which was second to only the Braves. If you look at just RISP, it jumps to 124 wRC+ but we drop to third behind the Braves & Rays.
It was not a problem last season.
