Framber is either great or catastrophic. There doesn't seem to be much in between. Without Maldy (who has seemed to be the stabilizing force with him), it might not be the worst idea to move him while his value is high.

If the plan is to keep the wild card window open longer then I could see it, but I firmly disagree with that.
Framber is still cheap for his production. JV is old as ****. Javier struggled last year. France and Brown weren't top-end. Bielak and Urquidy are just guys. If we don't have Framber or Framber performs poorly we're in some *****
Framber performed poorly when it really mattered. In both ALCS matchups, put us in a hole we just couldn't dig out of.

Framber was a complete dumpster fire in the postseason this year. Hell, he was awful after the all star break when Dusty wouldn't let him pitch on short rest and he threw a fit. His inconsistency is the main reason why, if I were in Dana's position, I would consider the opportunity to sell high. If we want to minimize the impact / length of a rebuild, then stocking up with good prospects in a trade involving him would be very good, especially if you can get some guys who are on the cusp of pitching in the majors and a potential option to play 3rd next year once Bregman leaves.
I get it wouldn't be a fan favorite move, but it might be worth considering.

I still have hope Framber will turn it around in 2024. He was a cy young favorite until August. He just hit a mental brick wall late in the season and him getting past that might be the key to a 2024 title run.
Look at the bigger pitcher. He has been a true ace for 4 seasons now.
