Rangers are -180 to win the series.

Anyone have any Rangers to win the World Series bets from the beginning of the season?

"Buying players" is the most nonsensical argument. It is the job of the Rangers office to invest in the team and increase the value of the franchise. They literally just invested in the team like you do any asset.

Looks like the revenge tour is going to continue against the team that laid down for Houston with our division on the line. Give no quarter.

I am absolutely loving this team. That stretch was brutal to go through, but, every team goes through that crap. I think we're lucky it happened when it did, rather than happening these last 19 games. I like the fight. I don't like the bullpen LOL but it is what it is. Hopefully, Scherzer is OK and we get Jung and Garcia back and get this thing rolling again into October.
The Garcia injury may actually be a blessing in disguise. He was struggling for awhile and it's given us new blood and energy with Carter.

The following wild card teams have won the World Series: the Florida Marlins, in 1997 and 2003; the Anaheim Angels, in 2002; the Boston Red Sox, in 2004; the St. Louis Cardinals, in 2011 (****); the San Francisco Giants, in 2014; and the Washington Nationals, in 2019.
Bochy was the manager in SF when they won in 2014 and Scherzer was a key part of the 2019 Nats.

Good to know that if Ohtani came out and said "I want to play for the Astros", their fan base would reject him outright because that would be buying a player instead of raising a homegrown talent.

Good point. I was just rambling after replying to the post. I was more looking to 2025 than 2024, I think they will be fine in 2024, it's beyond that where it gets more interesting.DallasAg 94 said:
We'll have plenty of time to discuss their 2024 roster in the off-season.
As tempting as it is to dig into their demise... let's focus on Arizona.

Shouldn't we be thanking them????
If we win the division, we would have had home field over Houston and probably wouldn't be here right now.

And people say Astros fans were harsh post ALCS. Not even…
