The one thing Texas will have that AZ hasn't seen is a top-to-bottom lineup. You heard the broadcasters talk about it the whole series: if you get through the Top 3 in the Phillies order, you can deal with the rest. That won't be the case against Texas.

The 2010 World Series champ had a huge advantage in the manager department. Same for 2011 as well. We also didn't have home field either time because of the fluky all star game rule.

To show the dichotomy here, ESPN already has a round table article up making is sound like the Diamondbacks have no chance. Sporting News has an article up that gives the Dbacks an advantage in nearly every category and predicts them to win in 6.

BTW, I think JWinTx grew up AL and his "inTx" represents a transplant to Texas who had to choose a new local team. Probably someone who landed in RoundRock and was exposed to both Minor League affiliates, but landed with Texas because it was during a team Texas had RR and the Rangers were having their WS run.

So, he likes some Astros, but hitched his wagon to the Rangers. Probably more a Wrestling and Basketball guy who affiliates with Royals and MidWest guy.

Grew up in the Metroplex. Lived here all my life. Over 50 now. Rangers are my team. First game was against the Brewers in 1979. We lost 7-5. Saw Al Oliver, Buddy BellX and Jim Sundberg. Was there for V-ball. Watched those guys in 1986 challenge for the AL West all year, but couldn't beat the Angels. Saw Nolan's 7th no hitter in person, saw the famous Robin Ventura game in person. Went to the unofficial home opener of the BPiA against the Mets. Had a season ticket package in 1994. Went to the Ticket Stick it in 1994 to protest the strike. Was crushed when we couldn't beat the Yankees in the late nineties (no one could). Watched the team fall completely under the Tom Hicks' bankruptcy. Couldn't believe we went to the WS in 2010 after finally beating the damn Yankees. Watched Game 6 in horror in 2011. Came to believe we were cursed and would never win a title. Felt proven correct when 2015 happened in Toronto.

So, as usual, y'all are dead-ass wrong about me.

And we will win the World Series in 5 over Arizona.

This is a great opportunity to exact revenge on Arizona for just totally rolling over in the last regular season series against Houston

But, but, but... everybody is doing it!

Subtract degroms salary since he's a non factor this year and Houston is paying way more money. Math is hard.

Good to know that if Ohtani came out and said "I want to play for the Astros", their fan base would reject him outright because that would be buying a player instead of raising a homegrown talent.

Upset that the old establishment got shaken up this season and the 2 best teams are playing for the championship instead of the usual suspects.

Translation: "my favorite teams didn't make it so we need to change the rules." I wish the nfl would change the playoffs so the cowboys could make the super bowl. Never hear people complain about that!
