Just came here to say I can't wipe the stupid smile off my face this morning.

Here's to hoping tomorrow morning is the same.

There are so many things I love about this clip outside of the actual GS. Fans being silenced, People streaming out of the stands, the Rangers fan in right field waving goodbye to the astros fans. Hell even the ever so subtle head shake by Maldonado when he knows its over.

I would be pretty happy if mad max could give us 4 with only 1 er. Anything better than that and we are golden. No matter how he performs we are going to have to score a lot of runs. I'm nervous boys!

The betting underdog is 6-0 in this series. We're +105 tonight.

The last 6 game 7s have been won 5/6 by the road team.

Astros have lost 4/5 at home this postseason.

Rangers are 7-0 on the road this postseason and also underdogs in all 7 games.

So this series is going to a game 7, right? That's my prediction anyway…

*yawn*

This is from almost a week ago. Amazing how predictable these things are, isn't it? Almost as if they are scripted Lol.

I can't remember a play in a baseball game that has cleared the stands that quickly. By the time the next pitch was thrown, 90% of the seats in camera view were empty.

Rangers, please do what you did to Baltimore in game 2 and put this thing away by the 3rd inning. I'm out of nails to chew

We have a lot more lefties available than righties tonight. Sets us up pretty well for the match ups with Brantley and Alvareaz.

I can see a scenario where we get 3 maybe 4 from Scherz if we're lucky, 2 or 3 from Dunning. And then Heaney, Gray, Perez, Chapman, Leclerc and the rest of the guys all get an inning depending on who is up to bat.

Just hope the offense continues being productive. Gotta make sure they work the counts, draw walks if able, and drive Javi's PC up. Getting him out of the game is going to be priority.
Heaney getting that quick inning in the 9th is big for tonight

Also, the fact that LeClerc was out with less than 20 pitches.

We left the place we were in after the T9. By the time we got the radio on, we heard, "It looks like the Astros are in as big a hurry to leave as the fans are. Heaney pitch. Ballgame."

I was like... what happened to the other 2 outs?! Heaney with 4PC to get a 1.0 IP. UNBelievable.

And don't think for a minute, that Eovaldi isn't available.

It was funny that Bochy left Sborz in to pitch to Alvarez.

The post-game commentary mentioned that it was probably a mental melt for Alvarez who was totally expecting Chapman.

It would not surprise me if Alvarez had never looked at Sborz' stat sheet, studying predominately LH RP from the Rangers.

Bochy took a huge risk and like has been said, "he knows his guys."

Correct. Saved the pen and likely helped to get his confidence back after this start earlier in the series where he didn't make it through the 1st inning.

Why do people get so upset over homerun trots, yet almost nothing is ever said about the way pitcher's celebrate big outs these days?

Much was said about G3 when Scherzer pitched.

Would a Dunning/Heaney have given us a better chance? Maybe.

Many thought Bochy should have had a shorter leash for Max. Maybe.

It was a winnable game that could have been different if we had started the normal expected SP or played RP and we were only down 3, instead of 5 when Max left. They wanted to get him to about 70 PC. He got to 63.

Would we have won if Adolis and Baker didn't prolong the B8 delaying and distracting Leclerc. Maybe.

We could have won this in 5. We could have won it in 6. But here we are. 3-3. Winning it in G7 would be memorable!

If we get to the WS... we'll need Max to be dialed in. G3 was about getting some rust off. Let's hope he improves on what he did.

Leclerc bouncing back after the G5 loss is huge.

posted this in trash talking thread, but figured I'd come here and post it as well (coming from an Astros fan so dont kill me).....

This series has been great. Highs and lows for both teams. October baseball at its best, and the way it should be. However this series ends it has been a fun one. Yall have had a helluva ride just like the Stros have had this year. Rangers could've collapsed after losing the division on the last day, but yall tore through the Rays and then the O's. Respect for that.

I hope tonight is a great game.

It's been a wild ride, definitely the craziest game-to-game series I can remember.

A great game tonight will be more drama than my feeble body can take. I hope it's a terrible game, either we put y'all away early or you do the same to us. No use getting either of our hopes up

First, it was never necessarily about celebrating as much as showing up the pitcher. Usually the line was standing there admiring the hit was enough. 10 years ago or so ago, some expression of slamming the bat or bat flip creeped.

HR trots is a throw back as is nothing more than maybe a fist-pump for Ps. The nostalgic unwritten rule in baseball was to never show-up the other player or team. Hit your HR, take your trot, go back to the dugout. Old school baseball would say Adolis got what he should have expected by just standing there, sans 99pm 4seamer to the upper body.

The Latin culture has influenced some of the celebration. Not sure if it is because of futbol/soccer in there home country, where parading around after a goal is expected.

Japan I believe hitters practice their bat-flips and many have a signature flip.

Even in football, there is more expression than traditionally tolerated. Sandler said on the radio this morning that young people just want to have more fun.

Chapman even said after G5 that what Garcia did was perfectly within what is accepted today and hitting players for celebrating HRs is no longer part of the game.
