He (Jung) probably missed too much time. If he stays healthy (and frankly plays like he has this postseason), he should be a shoe-in next year.

It's worth repeating that the internet doesn't represent real life. Most Astros fans are decent people. I knew plenty at A&M. Boring take, I know.

Astro fans seem convinced that they will win all 3 up here and game 6 will be for a World Series birth.

We all acknowledge that they're the best road team in mlb, but if I had to put money on it, I'd bet we get at least 1 game and possibly get 2.

We're in 10x better shape than the last time they played us up here.

I mean, it's certainly possible, but Astros fans were largely convinced they were going to kick our ass in four games so…

I think the two teams are pretty much a coin-flip at this point. Rangers hitting has nullified Astros starting pitching, and Rangers starting pitching has nullified Rangers weak bullpen.

So I think each game is basically a coin-flip, but they are going to need it to come up "heads" for them 4 times and we just need two.

We know they cheated.

They know they cheated.

Likely a situation where Heim never reset his PitchCom set from the ASG and the Astros players with permission to wear PitchCom attached to his signal and were listening to Heim's pitch selection. Four of the guys (including Altuve, Maldonado, and Dubon) allowed to wear the Receivers hit 10 HRs and the Five (including Bregman, Tucker, and Alvarez) that were not hit only 6. Bregman and Tucker were #2 and #3 in HRs for the Astros in the Regular Season and neither of them hit a single HR in the series.

New lineup of death
Garver, lowe, Jung need to get going tho.

Leody kicked ass in Houston, but the bases were empty nearly everytime he came up to bat. The home run off Verlander was a solo shot and he didn't score on the triple or knock anyone in.

I doubt the Astros threw Jung a strike in the zone during game 2. He struck out swinging at tons of low and away pitches.

Either way I hope Taveras can stay hot.

Carter switches jerseys and bats in the place of Taveras. It is the only explanation.

I was at game 3 vs Baltimore in Arlington and game 1 vs the Astros in Houston.

Houston atmosphere was very much "we're here all the time" and Arlington was like red bull was passed out to everyone at the entrance. We're a starving fanbase and that place will be absolutely rocking tonight.

Yup, Barnett replaced him and held the position until his on-air stroke. Then I believe they threw in Busby who took over for a while (who I actually really liked).

It was kinda crazy because Lewin and Tag had been there for a decent while and within a span of 18 months we burned through 3 guys.

Raymond has grown on me a little bit but is by far my least favorite out of everyone we've had.

Also agree with what others have said about Nadel, he's a legend, and deserves the job for as long as he wants it, but he definitely sounds kinda down and unenthused recently. I really hope everything is ok with him, to me he's what baseball is supposed to sound like

I really like CJ and Raymond is just a play by play guy. I was in the camp of the people who thought Lewin was a little hokey. I don't mind a bland play by play as long as the analyst is insightful. TAG was nice, but his insight was outdated.

Lewin was hokey, but was excellent at transferring the emotion of the game through the screen, which is what you're looking for in sports like baseball and hockey (not so much football, which is why guys like Jackson, Summerall, and Michaels are legends and Gus Johnson is a running joke). His home run calls were great. I've mentioned Nadel's dourness here before, and I I've come to really like Matt Hicks. Jared Sandler is going to be great in the future when Nadel steps down. He's really good.
I always liked when the rangers would win by recording the last out and Lewin would always say BALL GAME.

Yes, Lewin had a great tagline for games won by Texas. And it was expecially great with a walkoff win. The great win over Oakland in 2004 late in the season when Delucci hit the walkoff two run double was pure greatness when Lewin made that call that day and finished with BALLGAME!!
That's my 2nd favorite Josh Lewin call. It's on MLB.com somewhere. I'll try to find it.

My favorite is this one:

Holy Smokes I was actually at that game! My now wife and I went to Disney for vacation which I scheduled for Rangers to be in Florida. We drove down, stayed at my aunts and were two of probably 3,000 people in attendance. The following series was in Houston and Justin Smoak hit a ball farther than I had ever seen in Minute Maid. I think Colby Lewis started that saturday against astros.

There is no doubt the Astros have played well on the road. 2nd best road record in the AL. The Rangers have the 2nd best home record though. They play much better at home 19 over .500 versus 1 under in the regular season. Yet despite being an average road team they just went on the road and swept two teams that were a combined 42 games over .500 at home,

Imo, it all comes down to getting quality starts. You don't want to have to play from behind against the Astros bullpen.

I guess we will be seeing a lot more of Brantley. Hopefully Garden gnome, tucker, and Abreu stay cold.

It makes sense for them to split up Altuve and Bregman because it's clear Bochy will do anything to have a right hander throw against those 2 before going to Chapman.

I know Tucker is struggling but the lineup looks long with him at 6.

Glad to see no McCormick.

It's actually pretty wild to think that Tucker is doing so poorly that he was dropped to the 6 hole against right handed starter. It's extremely possible that he only sees Scherzer once before a long lefty faces him maybe twice.

Obviously you don't know my ******** college buddies I'm on a text thread with. 25 of us on the thread, all Astros but 2 of us and the other Ranger fan is pretty quiet.

To be honest though, they've all been pretty quiet since Sunday.

If Tucker returns to form, then that's a pretty deep, stretched out lineup. We need Seager and Adolis to get back into form for these home games.

So I have a 24 year old EIT that works in our group. Big Rangers fan. Because of all the Creed talk, he decided to listen to get fired up for tonight. Never had in the past

I joked to be sure and play some Nickleback along with it. He let out a big laugh as the Creed mix on Spotify had already played several Nickleback songs.

Something about the late 90s/early ought's. The good old days of high school/college.
