Was going to Wear my old Kinsler tshirt to work out this morning and troll all of the Astros fans I work out with but I spilled some water on it before I left. Maybe Thursday.
I don't have anything against CJ Nitkowski or the guy with Nadel, but I wonder if Holland would be a good color guy. I love Pat McAfee's game broadcast. His show is too much. I wonder if Holland is too much of a loose cannon to fill that role, or on the post-game show. Murphy, Mac, Bacsik, and even David Murphy are a little too nice and polished for my taste.

I think Holland would be fun and awesome to listen to. CJ is good, but he's kinda boring, especially combined with Dave Raymond. Those others, especially Murphy, are dull as dishwater.
I really enjoyed the Rangers TV broadcasts with Josh Lewin and Steve Busby at PBPs and paired with Tom Grieve. Energetic voices with a very calm dude. The current broadcast is pretty tame.
On the radio front, Nadel is greatness and Hicks is very good, too. But almost anyone with Nadel has been awesome.
I listened a lot on the radio this year. I've always loved Nadel, going back to when he first started - he and Mark Holtz were greatness.
I think Jared Sandler is really, really good and I like Hicks a lot as well. IMO, Nadel wasn't the same guy after he came back - doesn't sound the same, and I wonder if his heart is still really in it. He's one of the best ever obviously, and he should get to stay as long as he wants to, but I wouldn't be terribly surprised if he retires soon.

MLB blackout restrictions definitely suck though.

With Nolan no longer in the picture is there any chance of bringing back Josh Lewin? He was great.
Pay Holland to do a podcast during the season. We need more rangers content. Not much out there that focus just on the rangers.

I use Audacy, totally free and I listen to 105.3 the fan all the time there since I live in CStat.
The Aggies hired Andrew Monaco for the same job from the Spurs. That tells me people would rather do the broadcasts for their alma mater than a pro gig, but what do I know.

I credit the Stars organization ( hockey) for realizing how important TV and play by play is. Their TV crew has long been the gold standard in hockey and they even sync that crew up to do their radio broadcasts too or at least they used too.
Like I said, it just doesn't seem to be a priority for the rangers. However, the rangers probably do have the best radio crew.

Yup, Barnett replaced him and held the position until his on-air stroke. Then I believe they threw in Busby who took over for a while (who I actually really liked).
It was kinda crazy because Lewin and Tag had been there for a decent while and within a span of 18 months we burned through 3 guys.
Raymond has grown on me a little bit but is by far my least favorite out of everyone we've had.
Also agree with what others have said about Nadel, he's a legend, and deserves the job for as long as he wants it, but he definitely sounds kinda down and unenthused recently. I really hope everything is ok with him, to me he's what baseball is supposed to sound like

I still love to go back and find his and Tom Grieve's call of Benji Molina's triple in Boston when he hit for the cycle. That thing was hilarious. Of course those were claw and antler days and I'm pretty sure Benji dropped the antlers once he got on 3rd. So funny.
