Where is that guy that assured us all that a day game would actually be a tougher atmosphere?
What an expert.
What an expert.

Well, we won G1 with you Banned, so don't tempt us getting you banned for today's game.

yeah, was a night and day vs his rangers tone in previous seriesMozart Paintings said:
Anyone else enjoy Smoltz as much as I did last night? Especially during that second Alvarez at bat?
It's almost like he decided to study The Rangers players and tendencies after that Baltimore series.

I am going to all 3 games here in Arlington (assuming we don't sweep), so that'll have to be enough.
Yordan Alvarez is one of the best hitters alive. I asked why Jordan Montgomery's curveball that struck him out swinging three times so puzzled him.

"It looks like a fastball."
If that seems odd, read about the Death Ball and you'll get it. Free at ESPN: https://t.co/HgwB47o8kY

The series has taken my mind off of Aggie football, but I am still frustrated by the "officiating".
Thinking about the base umpire standing right there by second base and calling something he NEVER saw with Altuve. He should be removed from the crew for incompetence.
Thank goodness replay is not being run in B'ham.

Heard a theory on The Ticket this morning…. where the ball was hit in that park, that umpire probably had the best view of the action. Maybe the third base umpire could see it, but no way the ump down the left field line could have seen it.

The ump next to Semien might have been watching the ball. The first base ump is supposed to slide behind and get the simultaneous view and get the timing of catch/tag. He could have easily made the out call.cmiller00 said:
Ump told Semien he was watching the ball. Semien said they talked about that in Spring Training and it's something he watches for since the umps are usually looking at the ball not the runner.

Careful now, you've already had one post insulting Altuve here deleted.
Wouldn't want you to get tossed.
Pretty much what it looked like. Lucky that Altuve call and Jung call didn't cost us.Mr Gigem said:

Players of his stature are in short supply.
The Astros’ Yordan Alvarez is dealing with a virus, sources tell me and @Chandler_Rome. Upset stomach, headaches. Was not part of intros last night.

Evan Carter can leap tall buildings in a single bound, so it stands to reason he can probably hit lefties if you let him try.
