Carter had never played at MMP. They asked him about it and he said that he spent a lot of time wtih Grossman going for a walk-through.

Grossman is a FA after this season and Carter has relegated him to a bench player. Love that they have the type of relationship. Sure Grossman sees the big picture and EC's ability. And sure, Grossman gets bigger Playoff Payouts. Still fun to hear.

Semien also touched on where they coached him to line up and to be ready to sprint to the corner on balls down the line. Safe to say the tips worked wherever they came from.

All good! That's fair. I stepped back from almost all sports except Aggie Football when my kids were born and younger just because I didn't have enough time in life to follow much of anything else. I ventured back over here late last fall and bookmarked the offseason thread and later this thread. It helped me follow this team without being able to watch 90+% of the games (freaking Bally's).

All good! Being west coast is generally a benefit for game times, but it also means that I have to step away for a bit to get bath time and bedtime done during these ~7 pm CT games.

Interesting that he didn't claim it to be a Rangers fan.

From what I understand you don't know about traveling fans and there weren't very many Rangers fans there.

Probably an upset Asstros fan, if it did happen. And we'd all expect that. Rest assured if it were a Rangers fan, he'd have been all over that.

Jose LeClerc - Does he remind anyone else of Neftali Feliz back in 2010-2011? Both a little wild at times, but tough to hit. Good closers, but still make your nervous. LeClerc may actually have a little better stuff than Feliz had.

I was getting major Neftali-vibes watching him in the 9th. Neftali probably had slightly better stuff and was definitely more of an easy motion, but it seems like we'll get the same high velocity, high risk-high reward type of 9th innings as we did in 10-11.
