This team man. Three separate times I personally thought we were toast:

-The pre-ASB skid
-The late August/early September skid culminating in the HOU thumping and loss vs. OAK the next day
-The last series of the year after we dropped the first two and SEA had their aces throwing the next two

Just remarkable the way they have gotten up off the mat time and again.

But how could you not? This team was DEAD in the water after the 4-16 stretch. You don't come back from that. You're not supposed to come back after getting drilled at home by Houston. This team defies all logical explanation.

Arizona had a 7-25 stretch and could be waiting for us in the Series.

2 things here

1) max is fired up because he knows he's probably going to get to pitch

2) Sign Hedges for the next few years. I don't care if the guy never plays. He's the ultimate cheer leader / hype guy.

I remember watching those Ranger teams with Hamilton, Young, Kinzler, Andrus and Beltre and it was so much fun. I get the same feeling with this team; they are so much fun to watch. Seager, Semien, Heim, Garcia and Jung along with these starting pitchers of Eovaldi and company just make it fun to watch again! And Bochy is such a fun manager to keep this team going through the tough times.

Anyone else still shocked that they flew from Seattle to Tampa, swept that ass, flew to Baltimore, won both, took the series home, won the first game.

Full AL East sweep. Totally spanking that division. Don't forget we went 6-1 against the blow jays and the 4 game sweep in Toronto was probably our biggest and best series of the regular season.

The Yankees could pretty much only beat us in games in which they threw Gerritt Cole. Which of course, we got Cole two times.
