Unless I'm mistaken, for Houston to miss, we're going to have to win 1 and Seattle win the other two, Houston lose out to Arizona, and Toronto sweep Tampa. Does that sound right to anyone?

Do you happen to know approximately what percentage of non-corporate individual season ticket holders go to almost every home game (maybe 60 or more out of the 81 games)? It's just out of curiosity.

We blew 33 saves this year. Let's say we only blow half of those, conservatively (rounding down) that is 16 more wins. We would be sitting at 105 wins right now. Best record in baseball.

In the middle of posting, I found the league average is 58% conversion. Meeting league average means 6 more wins.

We would still ha e the 3rd best record in the league, assuming none of those 6 came against TB or Baltimore ( or Houston or Seattle) for that matter.

2nd edit: But we would have clinched already.

as of now, if Texas goes 1-2 in the final 3 games, They finish with 90 wins. Seattle finishes with 88. Toronto already has 88 wins. If Houston drops two games in their series they lose a tie breaker to both seattle and toronto. Texas can still easily miss out as well though. I'd say game two is their best remaining chance of winning a game in Seattle. The way the tie breakers are setup to guarantee a possibility of making the playoffs even in the event of a sweep by Seattle, Texas either needs two losses by Houston, Houston to sweep. or toronto to go no better than 1-2 against TB,
