Radio guys questioning Bochy's decision. Nadel took the high road with a "we don't always know what's going on in the dugout" comment but it sounded more like "WTH?"

Scherzer & Monty both have been pitching so well only to watch the bullpen piss it away. So damn frustrating...

I guess I'll just say it. It looks like we are tanking this season. But why???

I cannot imagine a world where Max Scherzer and Bruce Bochy could both be over-ruled by front office analytics.

This has to be a Bochy "get my bullpen back to feeling good" strategy that has cost us no less than 3 games in the last 2 weeks.

Every pitch we give up a home run is "not a terrible pitch" according to CJ.

I just find it hard to believe Bochy doesn't know his bullpen is ass cheeks and the worst in the MLB, so he's going to consistently game after game put them in huge spots when a starter or someone is rolling. Like he knows what we need to do to win games and make the playoffs, and pitching the pen more ain't it. He's not stupid…right?

Which is why I just assume it's him trying to be cute and play the "long game" with the stamina and psyche.

One of those post-game interviews in October after a playoff game where he says "I knew how important it was to get those guys still going out there night after night and re-gaining some confidence".

Except he's missed on it so many times that playoff game ain't looking likely.

It's almost like having the division lead for so long shifted his approach to "preparing for the playoffs".

I mean, there's logic behind it. WHo wants to roll into the playoffs with Chapman/Sborz/Whoever's last few outings being dog***** You want guys hitting on all cylinders in October.

But yeah, it's long past time to scrap that long-term plan and just play to win every single game.

Remember we punted a few Sunday/Last-game-of-series games a month or so ago... So we've seen flashes of the "this is a long season" approach.

Bochy can't be bothered with improving his winning percentage as a manager.

All that good work done by the Rangers in the first 2+ months of the season about to be undone. This is amazing to watch, sucks it's the Rangers. This is turning into an immense choke job.

It's just crazy to me we go out and get Max ****ing Scherzer.

But then pull him when he's dealing.

I said at season's start that Bochy was the kind of manager that wasn't going to win you games but he wasn't going to lose you games either -- he'd go as far as his talent allows. But I'm starting to question that. That's not to say that the bullpen sucking is his fault, but going away from starters that are dealing absolutely is.

And it makes you start to think about the other little things this team doesn't do right either. Sure, it's the player's fault first and foremost... But we lost our last game because a player turned to see the result of a play at the plate instead of running hard down the line. Ron Washington didn't always make the right moves and his team played reckless a bit, but they played it with an edge. Bochy's team plays tight, conservative, and also doesn't execute.

Paid for Aggie Ring, today.

Bought a 1.75 bottle of 1800 Tequila and a 1L of Gran Marnier. I'm 8 and 4 Oz on my way tonight.

What a great season we had. Exceeded every expectation. But ran into the Curse…can't beat that. Oh well..
