Ah, you only look at the pretty pictures and skip the heavy reading.

Chapman giving up the homerun doesn't bother me all that much -- he has breathing room with nobody on to give a "hit it if you can" pitch. Not saying that's what he was doing, but not sure we would have seen same approach with a man on.

And I think some of you guys are being fooled by small sample recency results from LeClerc. He still very much lacks control. He got some guys swinging at the slider wayyyyy out of the strike zone the last two outings. I'm fine with that if I'm confident he can throw strikes when he needs to, but he can't. He has as much a chance of being lock down in the 9th as he does walking the first two batters.

Astros broadcast saying they're tied with the rangers. Do they not teach math in Houston?

Between that and my dislike for the Astros, that thread is a whole heck of a lot of "near occasion of sin"

Chapman is my choice for 2-3-4 with the bases empty in any inning. I'll build around that.

Yes. He's been on fire. Kind of crazy.

Chapman just chunks it as if he's trying to win a game at the state fair. He makes no effort to pound the edges of the strike zone. 10 years ago it was effective when he was the only one throwing 100. Now everybody throws high 90's+ and he's no longer fooling anybody.

He's what we have. We're just going to ride with him, Smith, and LeClerq and see how far we can go.

How does he struggle here but go there and tear it up? Painful to see for getting a rental.

Wyatt Langford and Abi Ortiz hit back to back for Hickory. That's a lot of beef from the right and then left side.

Take solace in the fact that he won't be pitching in the playoffs for the next 5 years and the team he's on really stinks.

I'm still crossing my fingers he can throw 2 gems against the Astros when they play. I hope the Royals slot Ragans x 2 against them.

The offense has been disappointing in New York overall, but our pitching has helped push us thru. Winning series is great, but I want the sweep to wash away some of the stink of the last 2 weeks and we need it to make the road record look less bad.

The Mets seem cold and disinterested right now. Wish we could go for the kill shot tomorrow and rack up another one before the off day.

Our starting pitchers deserve so much better than this garbage. Even Heaney is having a good game but getting zero run support.

And if it's not the hitters completely letting down the starting pitchers, it's the bullpen doing so.

Our starting pitching has held up despite losing 2 aces, but hitting / bullpen keep dragging the team down.

We're averaging a lot of strikeouts per game period, right now. The guys are hitting the ball hard, which is a good sign, but they are also striking out much more than it feels like they did just a month ago.

He's a very miserable human being and all the pot in the world can't fix it. He's a typical lefty who happens to like the metroplex teams. Any reasonable astro fan we can trade him for?

I was trying to figure out why Julio Rodriguez was not in Seattle's lineup.

Apparently he has a pinched nerve in his foot.

Their starter was pulled before the game because he was sick.

Their 1B left after a couple innings with a bruised thumb.
