Just looking at some things that are still concerning despite the epic losing streak being stopped. We appear to still have some symptoms of the august swoon lingering and I'd like to see the bats heat up just a bit so we don't experience a September swoon as well.

Thank god the Mets stink and are just going thru the motions. We would probably get more fight from just about any other opponent right now. We are playing them at the perfect time to hopefully bust the slump and start playing better.

Baseball is a funny sport - it's a long season and it's tough to stay motivated every single day when the team falls out of contention. You've got some guys that just "play for them" (contract) and then some guys that just phone it in.

Honestly there's always been a bit of worry from me about that regarding this team if they ever fell out of contention -- there's just not a lot of vocal leaders on the team. You don't have to have them to win, but it can sure keep things from spiraling.

But end of the day I'll always take a quiet masher like Seager over a "good" player that is also a great clubhouse guy. Production matters more.

In fairness... we actually agree more than my posts suggest. The Blue Stars are just not projected. It is why I try to be intentional about comments by posters when I agree.

I can come across as snarky or antagonistic. But, as I've said, I don't take myself too seriously and am quite laid back. It's just that I know so much more than everyone else that I am VERY opinionated... and willing to express it.

With our luck in the pitching matchups and the way we've been hitting lately, I'll gladly take missing Senga. We seem to get crushed or destroyed by bullpen games when we are in good shape or doing well. By and large, this team is still seen as struggling or slumping…..so thank you Mets for no Senga.
