Taking 3 of the next 4 puts us in a really good spot. Toronto would probably need to finish 18-8 to beat us if we went 13-13 over last 26 games.

The offense has been disappointing in New York overall, but our pitching has helped push us thru. Winning series is great, but I want the sweep to wash away some of the stink of the last 2 weeks and we need it to make the road record look less bad.
The Mets seem cold and disinterested right now. Wish we could go for the kill shot tomorrow and rack up another one before the off day.
Just looking at some things that are still concerning despite the epic losing streak being stopped. We appear to still have some symptoms of the august swoon lingering and I'd like to see the bats heat up just a bit so we don't experience a September swoon as well.Mr Gigem said:

I was trying to figure out why Julio Rodriguez was not in Seattle's lineup.
Apparently he has a pinched nerve in his foot.
Their starter was pulled before the game because he was sick.
Their 1B left after a couple innings with a bruised thumb.

Crazy.

I bought 4 tix to the game on Tuesday. I am only using two. Is anyone interested in the other two? Just trying to make my money back. $80 ea in 110.

Counter-offer, $3.50 for the pair, but you can refer to yourself as "Daddy" for the duration of the game.
Are all 4 together? I can't imagine anything more unpleasant than sitting next to you for 4 hours, especially if McCormick is crushing and the Astros are winning.Farmer1906 said:

That is the risk and reward. Wouldn't you love to just be obnoxious in my ear as the Rangers win? Then you can come back here and report how badly you owned me IRL.

That's why you've got to make an offer that still leaves you a healthy drinking budget.agent-maroon said:South Platte said:Are all 4 together? This. Check his posting history and consider that it's coming from a fan whose team is in third place and hasn't led the ALW since April...

In fairness... we actually agree more than my posts suggest. The Blue Stars are just not projected. It is why I try to be intentional about comments by posters when I agree.
I can come across as snarky or antagonistic. But, as I've said, I don't take myself too seriously and am quite laid back. It's just that I know so much more than everyone else that I am VERY opinionated... and willing to express it.
It's been a fun season if you like train wrecks. Padres, Angels, Yankees, Mets, Cardinals, White Sox.bmac_aggie18 said:Tksymm7 said:

It's crazy that them, the Padres, and Angels are as bad as they are with the payroll / players they have
I'm sure FOX can't wait to see the likes of Baltimore, Tampa Bay, Texas, Houston, Seattle and Minnesota in the playoffs.CampingAg said:It's been a fun season if you like train wrecks. Padres, Angels, Yankees, Mets, Cardinals, White Sox.bmac_aggie18 said:Tksymm7 said:

Looks like the Mets have pushed Senga and are going with a bullpen game. Guy with a 7.5 era is starting.

With our luck in the pitching matchups and the way we've been hitting lately, I'll gladly take missing Senga. We seem to get crushed or destroyed by bullpen games when we are in good shape or doing well. By and large, this team is still seen as struggling or slumping…..so thank you Mets for no Senga.gigem1223 said:

Can't be any worse than Dave Raymond saying a ball was "crushed" or " hit well" that ends up being a harmless fly out.Jimtim1216 said:Grapesoda2525 said:I'm putting in the call that it will be different this time.PatriotAg02 said:
